Angelle M. Gerl

Attorney

      Angelle graduated from law school in 2009 and is licensed to practice law in California, Washington, and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Washington. Angelle has years of experience in criminal law as both a prosecutor and criminal defense attorney - giving her a unique perspective on the criminal justice system. She has also held positions as a Department of Licensing Hearing Officer and a Pro Tem Administrative Law Judge for the Office of Administrative Hearings. Angelle is the Municipal Prosecutor for the City of Cheney and for the City of Medical Lake.

      Angelle is active in her legal community holding positions on the Executive Committee of the Criminal Law Section of the bar association, Juvenile Offender Sub-Committee of the Juvenile Law Section of the bar association, and volunteering as the Director of the Cheney Youth Court. 

Kayleigh R. Thrift

Legal Assistant

      Kayleigh is a Spokane Local and has been a team member since 2018.  She is often the first person that clients will speak with when contacting the firm.  She loves to help others and enjoys learning about the law.  

      Kayleigh graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English from Eastern Washington University in 2019.  Kayleigh is a valued team member who assists the attorneys with their various filings, drafting, and general office management.

      She is a talented writer, focusing on creative writing and novels.  In her free time, Kayleigh enjoys writing, spending time with her family, and a little D&D. 

Courtney B. Whitten

Attorney

      Courtney, a dedicated local, was born and raised in Spokane, Washington. Courtney attended the University of Washington before moving on to Gonzaga Law School. While studying at Gonzaga, Courtney was Associate Editor of the Gonzaga Law Review, Vice President of the Student Bar Association, President of the William O' Douglass Committee, and excelled academically. Her quality of work has been recognized through awards and scholarships. Courtney focuses her practice on criminal defense and landlord representation. Courtney is a dedicated lawyer with excellent legal research and writing skills that make the difference in fighting legal battles.

      Courtney serves as the Trustee for the Spokane County Young Lawyers Association, volunteers with the Spokane Volunteer Lawyers Program, and volunteers with the Cheney Youth Court.
